Alexander Ludwig, has been stirring some buzz playing opposite to Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth in Lionsgate’s most anticipated action thriller in 2012, THE HUNGER GAMES, based on the best-selling novel, the first in a trilogy by Suzanne Collins, where a competition to the death takes place in the distant future.

You started your career as a child actor. How do you feel that has influenced your acting as a young adult today?

Starting as a young boy has given me more time to exercise my craft.

Hunger Games is the most anticipated movie of the year, how did you prepare yourself for the filming of the movie, and how have you prepared yourself for the reaction of the audience as to what it will do for your stardom and career?

I was drawn to the role of Cato because he’s twisted and complex. To prepare, I worked, first, on creating a more physically dominant character by training with the Navy Seals and by becoming proficient with sword fighting. Additionally, I prepared mentally by studying Cato’s inner demons and adopting them into the role.

It’s hard to prepare yourself for unexpected accolades when it is obviously the entire cast and crew who contributed to the success of the Hunger Games franchise.

You love to act, play and compose music, compete in extreme sports activities, and attend a prestigious school such as USC. Which do you prefer and why?

My heart lies in music and acting, however, my inspiration comes from the adrenaline rush I get from extreme sports… and life.

If you weren’t doing all of the above, what would you be doing instead?

It’s impossible to imagine because I can’t fathom doing anything else.

Who’s career do you dream of having?

I look up to Leonardo de Caprio. He has an incredible work ethic, chooses phenomenal projects, is tremendously talented, and still seems to lead a normal life.

What do you like least about this industry?

I dislike the way the industry compromises people as individuals.

What is your greatest fear?

Greatest fear: Not living life to it’s fullest.

What is your strongest attribute?

Never being afraid to take a leap of faith.

What is your most valued virtue; in yourself and in anyone that surrounds you?

Integrity, credibility, and honor.

Having been professionally trained as a dancer in the UK, Ramon Christian has made the effortless transition into modeling and acting (Nine, 44 Inch Chest) and is fairly new to Los Angeles.

The self-proclaimed creative director is preparing to make some waves in Tinseltown and do his British brethren proud.

What was the transition from London to L.A. like for you?
The transition to LA has been challenging yet smooth- all at the same time. Luckily, I had a great support network of friends here, and a great agency has helped too. It’s been a process figuring out where I fit in here, professionally, as it’s a total different industry to the UK. After, the past two years, my hard work is really paying off, and I feel I’ve really made a life for myself here. The balance of a great career and personal life is so
important.

Who have been sources of inspiration for you while shaping your career?
Wow there has been so many! My Mother has always instilled a good work ethic in me. I’ve been told from a young age to go for your dreams no matter what and don’t ever settle for anything else. I admire anyone who works hard and is passionate about what they do no matter what the profession is.  

What’s your exercise regimen like? Got a #1 tip for those of us trying to get our fitness on?
Being a dancer, fitness has always been a part of my life, but the older I get, the more I have an understanding for the body. The sunshine is a great motivator out here, but I also have found yoga to be extremely helpful both physically and mentally; and obviously flexibility [as a dancer] is important for me. 

What’s been your most exciting job to date? And what does the future hold for Ramon Christian?
Since moving to LA, it’s been such a cool experience working with the calibre of artists here- such as Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Lopez- but for me, Kylie Minogue has been someone I’ve admired- personally and professionally. So, it’s been great to work with her over the years…especially here in LA. 

I feel, now, my career is evolving- not only for performing, but producing and the creative side. I really want to fuse dance and choreography with fashion. As for me, they both go hand in hand. I really want to explore what else can be done on a runway show; so I’m currently choreographing several productions with my company
LoveFashion. I couldn’t be in a better place to do this….. I really am so excited!

When Facebook bought Instagram last month, pretty much all the media coverage focused primarily on a single narrative thread: how a tiny startup with just 13 employees and no revenue came to be worth $1 billion. That, of course, is an astonishing business story, but in obsessing about the economics of Instagram, its aesthetics — the real reason why it’s so popular — got short shrift.

Sure, Instagram makes photo-taking and photo-sharing incredibly easy, but there are plenty of apps and services that have been doing the same things for years. Instagram’s real triumph is that it makes distorting reality a snap (or, actually, a tap). Quite simply, Instagram makes it easy to lie — or at least fib — visually.
