Interview: Blair Jasin

You have seen him in Footloose where he played Bobby, and we all felt in love with his moves. BELLO mag brings you an exclusive interview with Blair Jasin, right before he become Golf Caddy on Single Ladies this spring.

Tell us about your experience filming FootLoose ?
It was my first big project and I was thrilled to be a part of such an iconic film.  Craig Brewer had such an awesome vision for this movie and really brought the heart of the story to life.  It was so great to be able to work with such a talented director and to be able to share the screen with amazing actors and dancers.  I was definitely upstaged in the dancing department.
What is your dance training ?
I have absolutely zero formal dance training, other than being obsessed with breakdancing in middle school.  For the opening sequence, we spent two days learning the line dance by the extremely talented Jamal Sims and I will admit that I was definitely slow on the uptake.  I finally got the hang of it, having never realized how much fun dancing could be.  I became a dancing fiend.
How do you feel about living and working in Los Angeles ?
I am loving being out here.  I feel that as an actor this is the place to be and I am excited to jump in head first.
What is your favorite city ?
New York City
Can you tell us how do you stay in shape ?
Well lately I have been trying to run a lot, but running sucks.  So, for the most part I work out three to four days a week and concentrate totally on upper body.  When it comes to my diet, I eat straight up crap.  Working out is a must for me.
What is next for Blair ?
Wouldn’t you like to know…
1 Personal Question: What do you wear when you sleep ?
Anything wool.
Where do you see your self 5 years from now ?
I will be fighting the good fight and I guarantee you will be seeing more of me.  Honestly, I am going to be doing what I love, surrounded by the people I love, the rest is just details.
